Tyra Banks showcased curves in all the right places as she filmed scenes for her hit show America's Next Top Model in Los Angeles yesterday.

The supermodel turned media mogul was joined by her co-host Jay Emanuel as they filmed a dance themed model shoot on posh Rodeo Drive.

Tyra displayed her hourglass figure to full effect in tight high waisted pinstripe trousers, a black shirt and checked tie.

Banks topped off her ganster inspired outfit with black stilettos and a cute straw Fedora hat.

Pictures surfaced of Banks back in 2007 showing her looking a lot heavier than in her Victoria's Secret modeling hayday.

Tabloids lambasted Banks with headlines such as 'America's Next Top Waddle' and 'Tyra Porkchop'.

Banks fired back in an interview with People. Appearing on the cover in a red swimsuit and proudly announcing her weight at 161 lbs, Tyra declared that she had 'never felt hotter'.

'I get so much mail from young girls that say "I look up to you, you're not as skinny as everyone else, I think you're beautiful,"' she told the magazine. 'So when they say my body is "ugly" and "disgusting" what does that make those girls feel like?'

As for her own weight, which at that time was 30lbs heavier than when she landed on the cover of Sport's Illustrated swimsuit issue in 1997, Banks said: 'I still feel hot but every day is different.

However, she's not above admitting she would be first in line if somebody invented a miracle cure for the scourge of all modern women - cellulite.

'I think every woman would love to do something about their cellulite,' she said.

Beckhams forced to deny 'split' following internet rumours

A Twitter posting claiming David and Victoria Beckham were about to split has forced the couple's representatives to deny the rumour.

Frank PR managing director Andrew Bloch posted this on the social networking site: 'I am hearing from a number of sources that Victoria and David Beckham are due to announce their separation in a few hours.'

But the A-list couple's publicists moved swiftly to deny the claims dismissing them as 'nonsense'.

Simon Oliviera, David Beckham's long-time publicist, then tweeted Bloch saying: 'Didn't know you were the new Perez Hilton. I think I would be aware of that, utter nonsense.

'Have a word with your sources.'

Bloch, who has since pointed out that his posting was personal, not work-related, later updated his Twitter page to say: 'I have confirmation direct from Team Beckham that the separation rumour is "utter nonsense". Very good news indeed.'

But the damage was already done, with several websites and blogs repeating the rumour.

Bloch told the Daily Mail tonight: 'I was just re-tweeting what everyone else had been saying, when all of a sudden I got a message from my friend Simon Oliviera saying it was rubbish.

'I was more than pleased to put up a denial. I am so sorry for any problems that were caused.

'This really does go to show just how fast a Twitter rumour can spread - and the power of Twitter.'

A spokesman for David Beckham, who is currently in South Africa in an advisory role with the England football team. told Mail Online: 'The rumours are utter rubbish and not worth your time.'

And Victoria's spokeswoman said: 'It is simply not true, there is no statement and no split, it's all just nonsense.'

While Victoria was today on a photoshoot, a source close to the singer-turned-fashion designer told the Mail: 'Victoria knows nothing about this yet. It is all so ridiculous.'

The former England football captain and ex-Spice Girl wed in July 1999 and have three children together - Brooklyn Joseph, 11, Romeo James, seven, and Cruz David, five.

The couple have weathered some difficult times after it was alleged Beckham had an affair with his former PA, Rebecca Loos, in 2004.

America's Star magazine recently reported that Trawick had been carrying on a long-term affair with an actress named Jessica Steindorff.

Trawick reportedly met Steindorff when she worked as his personal assistant at William Morris back in 2007.

Meanwhile, Britney was recently accused of sexual harassment by her ex-bodyguard Fernando Flores, a claim her camp calls 'stupid'.

So it was no surprise that Jamie and Louise Redknapp decided to distract themselves from England's humiliating World Cup defeat today by making the most of the sunshine in Italy.

The pair spent the day relaxing with friends in Sardinia, while Jamie attempted to cheer himself up after England lost to Germany 4-1 by reading Andre Agassi's autobiography.

While Jamie, 37, got stuck into the bestseller, his former pop star wife Louise, 35, adjusted her black and white striped bikini to ensure the optimal tan as she basked in the warm sunshine.

The former Triumph underwear model showed off her enviable figure in the triangle bikini, and shielded her eyes from the rays with a pair of trendy white aviator sunglasses.

It was recently reported that Louise is in the running to replace fellow WAG Christine Bleakley on The One Show, after Bleakley decided to make the move from the BBC to ITV to reunite with co-host Adrian Chiles.

Louise has already shown she has the skills to cut it as a presenter, as she has been fronting Something For The Weekend alongside Tim Lovejoy since January.

She may have missed out on Glastonbury this year, but Fearne Cotton looked like she was in the festival spirit yesterday as she returned to Radio 1 after two weeks away.

The presenter, 28, looked summery as she left the BBC studios on Monday afternoon in a pair of denim shorts, vintage Iron Maiden t-shirt, oversized orange shades and a daisy chain hairband.

Cotton was back hosting her lunchtime show after two weeks off to film a second series of her ITV2 documentary series Fearne And... and a new talent show.

While Cotton is keeping tight-lipped about most of the show's subjects, she did reveal she interviews internet gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

The first series last year saw the presenter chatting to Alesha Dixon, Peaches Geldof and Paris Hilton.

Cotton met up with Hilton at the MuchMusic Video Music Awards in Toronto, Canada last week.

After returning to London on Tuesday, busy Cotton spent the rest of the week and weekend filming her new talent show Must Be The Music.

Another day, another trikini: Kelly Brook doing what she does best for the photographers


Here is Kelly Brook, hard at work. She may have sand between her toes and not much more between her gorgeous ears, but our Kell is toiling away at the rock face of life.

Her adorable button nose to the grindstone as she brings home the sun-kissed bacon. What is Kelly doing? She is wearing a bikini. Simple as. End of. Cheque, please.

Don't mock. Don't say that it is not a proper job, because it is. Wearing a bikini is what Kelly does best; in fact, she has turned it into something of an art form, not to mention a business.

So she can't be that dumb after all, despite being fired from a couple of television shows for not being able to read big(ish) words on the autocue or properly sentence a string together. And you have to admit that she wears it well. Nobody does it better.

This week the actress, reality TV star, failed talent show host, occasional swimwear designer and sometime lingerie model has been strutting her stuff on the beaches and teak yacht decks of the Caribbean.

Ostensibly Kelly is on holiday, getting over the break-up of her romance with rugby star Danny Cipriani. However, look closely and you may see another agenda playing itself out under the sun.

Each morning, while employing an interesting strategy to ignore the paparazzi ('Cooee, I'm over here!'), Kelly skips along the beach in a different swimwear confection.

No one needs that many beach outfits for a short holiday, do they? Not even Miss K. Brook, the self-same woman who stars as bikini-clad Danni Arslow (I'm not making this up) in this summer's upcoming blockbuster horror film, Piranha 3-D. Sample dialogue: 'Aaaaargh!' Which even Kelly could manage without making a mistake.

Yet so far this week, under the guise of innocent holiday fun, Miss Brook has unleashed an eye-watering bikini blitz on the watching world. So far we've seen the green one, the pink one, the animal-print one and the blue cut-away one, which - apparently - is technically known as a trikini.

Now, not many ordinary women could get away with the terrifying sculpted skimpiness of the unforgiving trikini. But Kelly Brook, as she proves morning after morning on the white Barbados sands, is no ordinary woman.

That the 30-year-old model is in great shape is a given. Yet there is something much more to her global appeal than merely a deep and pert cleavage or cellulite-free thighs.

For Kelly Brook has a body that fascinates both sexes; she is astounding, on so many levels. In some archaic way not often seen today, she exudes an aura of wholesome innocence; of giggles and compliance, Parma Violets and dimples.


The blue one and the animal-print one: How many bikinis does one woman need?

There is nothing threatening about Kelly and her curiously old-fashioned curves; she has full breasts and hips, but a tiny little waist, like a violin.

Also, she has none of the chilly androgyny of the catwalk, nor the blanched and unhappy mien of sizezero models. Neither is she a Madonna hardbody nor an Elle-type giantess. In Kelly-land there is no
hint of threatening muscle, no hillocks of bicep, no thick knots of calf or knobbled six-packs that suggest female strength and power.

Kelly was born to wear sweetheart necklines and have some big, stupid, lovesick fool take care of her. She looks as though she might buckle under the weight of a tray of her freshly made cupcakes, just pulled from the oven.

She would be the ultimate star of the girl-in-peril movie, the one whose kitten heel gets caught in the storm drain as she runs away from King Kong. Men want to love and protect her. Women want to look like her. Especially on the beach.

For every year around this time, Kelly is a timely reminder that our own holidays are on the horizon. She is like the first cuckoo of spring,as much a reminder of summer as shark sightings off the Cornish coast and watery Wimbledon strawberries.

Here she is, the ultimate beach body - the perfect fleshly reminder that wearing a bikini isn't easy. If it was, there would be no need for Special K, FitFlops and that thing you put between your knees and then press hard. No, not a horse. Nor a bottle of chardonnay with a recalcitrant cork. I'm talking about a Pilates exercise ring, people.

For every year, around this time, just at the moment when Kelly is climbing into her first swimming cossie of the week, we are bombarded with the diets and exercise programmes to get bikini-ready.

What about tankini-ready? Does that count? I climbed into a tank last week for the first time this year. Yes, it was a bit of a tight fit, but that's the Panzer for you.

However, these snaps of Kelly in Barbados serve as a reminder that we need, apparently, to get slim, fit and smooth. We need to get like Kelly. So every year we try.

We rub some coffee grinds onto mottled, bumpy thighs. Drink a gazillion litres of water every day. Buy into the Dukon diet, the 28-Days-To-A-New-You, the 10-Day Diet plan.

It's a kind of a delusion, a seasonal madness. It seems to suggest that we have spent all winter not realising that the giant thing following you around, that great shadow that blocks out the sun, is one's behind.

Then just when you get around to thinking that you might drop the potato from the potato salad, when you just might really go for it and not eat the bag of free pretzels with your cocktail on your holiday flight to Wobble Beach, enter the Kelly.

Enter the Kelly in a bikini. And as she does so, a million carby snacks halt in mid-air, a thousand loaded potato skins stall on their journey mouthwards.

Gulp. Or rather, don't gulp. Yet I fear that any abstinence or miracle keep-fit routines at this stage of the beach game is too little, too late.

And even if we all lived in a spa and lived on thimbles of elf juice and acorn mousse, would we ever look as good as Kelly in a bikini? I doubt it.

She's a dream, the kind of girl they used to paint on the sides of wartime planes. From here to all eternity, we'll never be able to compete.

The actress climbed onto the seesaw with her two-year-old, showing her how to hold on as she rocked it back and forth.

Jessica then beamed with pride as she watched her only child go it alone.

Jessica has been introducing Honor, whose daughter with husband Cash Warren, to the delights of Paris.

The pair flew into the city last week, with the actress attending the star-studded premiere for her film The Killer Inside Me.

But rather than head straight home to Los Angeles, Jessica made the trip into a holiday with a group of her friends.

Opposites: Halle Berry and Britney Spears both wore hotpants in LA today - but with exceedingly different results


They couldn't have made this basic look appear more different.

Both Halle Berry and Britney Spears were spotted out and about in Los Angeles yesterday sporting simple shorts and T-shirt attire.

But the Oscar winning actress, Halle, 43, put the much younger pop star in the shade in the fashion department.

Halle looked red hot as she put her toned legs on show in ripped jeans shorts and a brightly coloured T-shirt.

Britney, 28, on the other hand, got it all wrong.

The Toxic singer paired long socks and pink trainers with green checked pyjama shorts and a white vest.

Her hair was a tangled mess and her underwear was even peeping out the back of her shorts.

Britney has come under fire this week for a different reason after reports surfaced accusing her of abusing her two young sons.

Former part-time security worker Fernando Flores contacted the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services about the singer's treatment of Sean Preston, four, and Jayden James, three.

He made a string of allegations about her parenting in a tabloid newspaper, claiming she whipped one of her sons with a belt and forced another to eat food they were allergic to earlier this year.

But Flores has been branded a 'disgruntled' and 'opportunistic' former employee by sources close to the star, with another insider telling TMZ: 'The allegations made by Fernando Flores are absurd.'

Its the curious case of the shrinking sister.

In a new advertisement for the Kardashian endorsed swimwear line, Beach Bunnies, it seems Khloe has been reduced via computer trickery to appear a similar size to her petite sisters.

Kim, 29, Kourtney, 30, and Khloe, 25, look stunning as they pose in black and metallic bathing suits but the usually statuesque Khloe appears only an inch or so taller than her sisters.

Khloe is 5ft 10in compared to Kourtney, the shortest of the three, who is only 5ft 2in. Kim is 5ft 3in.

The youngest of the reality star trio claims to embrace her height, saying on her website: 'I love being tall.'

'I embrace my height and wear the tallest of shoes. I personally think my sisters are so cute and petite but they always say they wish they had legs like mine.'

The family, apart from Khloe, is all currently in New York for various business reasons.

Kim was unveiling her new wax statue at Madame Tussauds whilst Kourtney and her baby daddy, Scott Disick, were spotted apartment hunting in New York's swanky West Village district.

Khloe is currently on her belated honeymoon with her husband, Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom.
